Jennifer Dunn

Died today:

A statement issued by the office of her son, King County Councilman Reagan Dunn, said, “Jennifer collapsed from a pulmonary embolism in her Alexandria, Va., apartment and never regained consciousness. She passed peacefully surrounded by family.”

“Jennifer was a trailblazer for women who cleared the way for others to follow with a career of firsts: first woman to chair the Washington State Republican Party, first freshman woman to win a place in the House Republican leadership team; and the highest ranking Republican woman in leadership as the vice chairman of the Conference,” state Republican Party Chairman Luke Esser said. “Her enduring legacy is an entire generation of Republican grassroots activists who learned through her to fight for their principles and values with thoughtfulness and grace.”

Unexpected and sad.
